Food Art for Kids - Making Eating Vegetables Fun for Kids

I have been looking for new ways of making food fun for our kids. Our 4 year old loves to help out in the kitchen, so I wanted to make a fun and creative project for us. Digging into the fridge, I got some cucumbers, blueberries and grapes and the “Man with the Green Head on a Convertible” was created. We had a great time making him, and Justin had a delicious time chomping him away.

Food Art for kids is an awesome way of making food fun for children. Depending on the child’s age you may either let them participate with the creations or simply present it to them while introducing them to food. This will work wonders on kids who are picky eaters.

This is what we used to make our “Man with the Green Head on a Convertible” :

- 2 Cucumbers
- 4 blueberries
- 1 Grape
- 8 toothpicks

We will be working on creating fun Food Art throughout the summer, so stay tuned for more fun ideas.

Have you created a fun food sculpture and would like to share it? Pictures, recipes and ideas are welcome.
